Choir boy Mod + transfers

So the buzzed eyebrows aren't too bad.

Howdyyyyy y'all! Welcome to your favorite weekly email!

First things first, transfers happened and I am staying up in the frozen north and getting a new comp named Ældste Ngatikaura from Australia. You could say it's the hardest named companionship this mission has EVER seen. Should be a good transfer folks. This last transfer FLEW by so freaking fast, it was crazy. Time is picking up even though daylight time is shrinking drastically. (help?) It's turning to winter this week and I got soaked while we were out contacting for the first time in a while. It was.... refreshing. But, winter is coming and I'm ready, but scared.

We taught a lesson to some new friends this week and got invited to a mom's birthday party the following day, so you know we had to pull up. It was awkward, funny, and also a good time. We had some good food and some great interactions with people we hadn't ever met before; and I had to laugh when the grandma gave my face a little caress with her hand to say goodbye.... I just lost it! hahaha! So funny.

One really good lesson we had this week was with a part-member couple. It went way well. We taught about the gospel of Jesus Christ and she shared her testimony of the priesthood without realizing what she was doing. It was sweet! Things are going well there.

299 days left!

We had a little finding activity with the district and Ældste Jaursch made a cake to celebrate being under 300 days left on the mission. It was news to me that I was under 300 days, so that's cool.

We showed up at this random museum right before it closed and they gave us 20 minutes of free walking around and it was kinda cool. I wish I could have seen it a little more in depth, but like hey, blessings.

We played some floor ball this week. Man, I was trash, but it was a good time. Got the heart rate up and I went to bed TIRED that night.

General Conference is coming up so we were challenged as a mission to share some quotes and decorate some doors so we hit that up. It was kinda fun. It felt like doorbell ditching hahah. But yeah! Prep yourself for conference! Get yourself ready by reading, praying and pondering. It's key!

Have a good week. Love and miss y'all so much.

Love from Det Frostne Nord,

Buzzed Eyebrows ft Elders Conference

YOOOO what's up? How is everyone? Denmark is getting cold and it's almost the spooky season out here, but it's pretty! Highs of 50s and 60s this week, maybe gonna need the heavy jacket again.... oof.

I started off the week right with splits with AP Peterson. That dude is so sick and super hard-working. He's a definite role model type bro that I'm trying to be like. We had a good time knocking and contacting. We had a lady ask if we were the Corona police? Hahah what even is that? Also, we had a bro get all up in our faces when we knocked on his door. He told us we needed a warrant and wouldn't let us put our hands in our pockets.... Honestly, I don't know what his deal was. He was not a happy fellow. But that was awesome. We went running up a pretty big hill and my legs were wrecked... Guess I gotta hit that grind a little harder.

I also had splits with Ældste Redd and we went contacting for a good long while, and grabbed an ice cream afterward. We snagged my basketball and played at a local park and had 2 dads try to challenge us 2v2. Let's just say I looked like MJ out there on that 9-foot hoop.

For the second part of my splits with Ældste Redd, we drove down to Odense together to Elders Conference! It was a lot of fun! We had some good trainings on effectiveness and how to become who we want to be. It was mostly nice to see all the boys again. I have made some great friends out here. We drove back and had to stop in Randers and get the famous Randers' Kebab. It was weird to grab dinner there because it almost felt like I never left. So weird. We stopped for gas in Aalborg and at that point I realized that we had been in all of Ældste Leland's areas in one day. Odense, Randers, Aalborg and Frederikshavn. He was tripping a little hahah.

We visited a little castle yesterday on our way to knocking. It was cool. Not up to par to the ones in my last area, but still nice. Pics included.

The famous Randers Kebab

We didn't have as many lessons this week, but today we had a good lesson with our friend about the restoration. I think we might be getting somewhere. We get along well and it's so awesome. I get treated like a grandchild almost.

It's starting to get dark again at like 7:30pm and I am NOT ready for that. Man, bring summer back. It's like it never even got here.

Our president told us that we should dedicate our apartments this week. I hadn't ever done that before so I called dibs and it was spiritual. I enjoyed it. Doing it in Danish as well made it feel even more personal. I kinda felt like a dad though... I think that's a good thing?

I hit the barbershop up for a nice fade this week and he asked me, "Eyebrows?" And pointed to my eyebrows... I though he was gonna get rid of the unibrow kinda stuff but nah... He took that boy across both eyebrows... They are still there... Just the same length as my fade hahahaha. Anyways that's it! Love y'all! Have a solid week!

Massage Chair Finding

Howdy howdy! How y'all been? This week wasn't too exciting, but good nonetheless. Let's hop in.

I started off the week on ZL splits with Ældste Langmann from Germany. We haven't really seen each other since we were "roommates" at the beginning of the Coronavirus in Herning. It was nice to catch up. We did some finding down in Aarhus. I freaking love Aarhus. It's so pretty and just has it all. Gotta love it. We contacted over to the Royal Library and I showed Ældste Langmann a secret spot that I was shown like 7 months ago. Massage chairs at the library. Perfect for a nice 1-hour Facebook-finding session. We had some good convos while getting our backs massaged. Gotta say that is a first for me. It was fun! He also bought some specialty Honey Glazed Ham Pringles and they were fire, not gonna lie. Good splits though.

We also had District Council with a ZL training. It was an enjoyable one about recommitting to the mission and to building our testimonies. I liked it. Then we did a Facebook-finding group activity and hit the streets of Aalborg. I had lots of fun with Ældste Redd and Ældste Jaursch. Not too much came from it though.

We got burned by a lot of the people we had lessons planned with this week. That sucked, but they were all down to reschedule. I hope that goes well. We did have a GREAT lesson with one of our friends who is from a part-member family. We had taught her the Plan of Salvation and this time she taught it back to us which was DOPE. Afterward we got to help resolve some of her concerns. I felt the Spirit flowing through me as I was whipping out stories and comparisons and all that. It was dope. My Danish definitely felt good in those moments. Heavenly Father is way too good to missionaries sometimes, but I'm glad I got to feel that. She has been coming to church for like 3 or 4 weeks in a row now as well, and has started reading the Book of Mormon. Life is getting good!
With Ældste Langmann
We did some service out at an American man's house this week, and he made us some fire pizzas in return. We moved some wood and I mowed the lawn... It was so relaxing and refreshing.... Man, I had no idea I missed that so much. I did my best and he was astounded at my skill behind that machine.... . I guess that mowing that Y into the yard every year really paid off. P.S. Go Cougars!

I found a Book of Mormon from the 1960s in the church building here. It is super cool!  A member who runs the library just said that I could take it because they wanted to clean out the library. I was soooo stoked!

This week I'm hitting splits with the APs and Aalborg elders AND we have Elders Conference. It's sure to be an exciting week!

Finally, to finish off the week, we had a nice Sunday meeting. I really was feeling the Spirit during the sacrament and as I took it I felt a cleanliness wash over me. I had prepared myself for it by studying that morning all about the sacrament. It felt like another gift from God. God is so good people! SO GOOD!

Sorry, this got long real quick. But thanks for the love and support. I appreciate all of you! Keep Oregon and the western coast in your prayers this week. We could all use some peace in the world this week, especially from wildfires and all that.

The big news

Where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet.
Can you see the waves coming from different directions?

Whelp, it's been another week and I feel like I just wrote this email last week. Hopefully they are still interesting hahaha. Let's dive in though. Not much time but 🤷🏼.
This week we had interviews with our mission president and we found out that we can finally eat with members as well as teach indoors now! That is so sick! We are still way ahead of the game, but for reference, I had 2 areas that I never got to do that in. So that is cool. But yeah, interviews were good and I got to eat some good pizza before the meeting so that is always a W!

We got to do some service and teach a lesson to a part member couple! They have a sweet Camaro from the 1960s and I'm gonna try and see if I can get a ride in it hahaha. The lesson went well and I'm starting to learn Polish now from this lady bc #mothertongue... Kinda. And let me just say.... Danish is way easier hahahaha.

We had a couple of eating appointments this week and we went on splits to Aalborg and got to bike ride around the city. That was way fun. I was with Ældste Jaursch from the MTC and that was just so fun to be with him. Love that man.

The district: Ældste Jausch, Ældste Mod,
Ældste Leland and Ældste Redd

Today we had a district activity.... All 4 people in our district hahaha. We hit up the sightseeing journey that is Nordjylland with Råbjerg Mile (sand dunes in the middle of nowhere). They were dope and I'm all sandy right now...... But it was a lot of fun. We also hit up Skagen (northern tip of Denmark where the oceans meet) and Rubjerg Knude (sand dunes right by the ocean with a lighthouse). It was so much fun just chilling exploring and walking around all that. I'm going to have sand in my hair for days!

This week I'm really trying to focus on the small things, both with thankfulness and obedience. I have a large desire to change into the person I want to become, but I've been lacking patience in that department, so I'm hoping this week is almost a purification week. I'm putting my shoulder down and having fun.

Hope everyone is lit and staying safe. Lmk what's up with y'all!

I'm guessing it was a bit windy. :)
