Frisco!

Just hanging out in San Francisco
Hello everyone! It's ya boy Ældste Mod typing from the beautiful city of San Francisco! Don't worry though, they didn't let us leave the MTC just yet, and I promise we didn't just take off, hahah. We had some Visa appointments in San Francisco that took so long to wait in line for, but then only took 15 minutes. Gotta love it! In other news though, I got to see my soon-to-be brother-in-law there and we all went to lunch! I hit my halfway point this week for the MTC and it's all downhill from here!

I got to talk to my wonderful mother on her birthday this week! Whatta blessing to see her and my sister in DC again!

Danish is getting easier to understand but still hard to speak. We are thriving though! We teach lessons a lot and they keep getting better each time! I got to host on Wednesday and got to see all the new missionaries! They were super sad but they had no idea how good it gets!! The MTC is great but I'm getting antsy for Denmark! Our teachers show us pictures of how beautiful it is and I'm super excited!

Coming back to SLC now but most importantly the church is true and GO COUGS!

Thanks Chad for finding Tate and the Elders in SF!

Elder Mol and the Dynamic Trio

Tate, Elder Cook & Elder Jaursch (the dynamic trio)
Hello everybody! It’s ya boy surviving another week here at the 😊 JK.

This week really was just a roller coaster of emotions, but my companions and I are thriving. I've already been dubbed Elder Mod, and in Danish a D after a vowel usually makes a soft L, so I'm Elder Mol. HAHA. Yeah Danish is whack in case my last email didn't fully show you.

We learned that the longest word in the world is a Danish word, and it looks like someone just hit a bunch of random keys on the keyboard.... yeah whack.

We got another Danish teacher! She got back from her vacation in Denmark so that means that the final count of MTC teachers is (drum roll please) 9. haha THRIVING. :)

We had our first TRC on Wednesday and it actually wasn't that bad. To be honest, I expected much worse. We couldn't understand much but it’s all about context LOL. I mean I felt the spirit so that’s a “W” if you ask me. We have been told two things... 1. Our Danish is better than expected, and 2. Det Komme, meaning it'll come. Since Danish has like 0 rules you just have to figure it out.

Sunday was absolutely CRAZY TOWN. We started off the morning by being called as zone leaders.... We had been here for a week and a half.... BAPTISM BY FIRE! Literally we were like, “Uhhhh, are you sure?” Our focus is on fun so I guess we’ll see how this will work... I'll let you know next week. But then the day got so much better with Tad R. Callister speaking on the BOM! Great guy. Great talk. Now I gotta jump to Tuesday... I had had a TOUGH day. We headed over to sing a rendition of I Know that my Redeemer Lives with the choir. One of the ushers was like, “Hey, we have someone big coming in so you guys gotta be good.” The MTC has the speakers on lockdown because we had NO IDEA who it was gonna be, and then DAVID A. BEDNAR walks in! Like woah, wait, what??? He was incredible, my goodness. His message was just what I needed to hear to rejuvenate my day/mission/life. Anyways, good week!

I'd love to hear from you! My email is tate.modersitzki@missionary.org and my google hangouts is the same!
