| Frederiksborg Castle in the distance |
This week was kinda just like the last one and the week before that x8. But there was some cool stuff! Gotta wait 'til the end for the best news so far!
Starting this one off right with all the outdoors experiences that I had this week. I still love the outdoors, no surprise to anyone there, hahah. We did some service again for the same couple as last week. This time we took out an entire grove of bushes and trees! It was gratifying to see how quickly we tore through it and they were very thankful! We're always happy to help, even happier when they told us that they want to have us over for dinner sometime to talk a little! Miracles happen! We also soaked up some sun this week by taking walks to some cool places. We walked by Frederiksborg Castle and fed some ducks and swans in the moat. That was relaxing and fun, not gonna lie.
This week was tough with Facebook finding and making new friends. My lack of motivation combined with how rude some people had been really took me back a step or two. But we're back on track now. This week was an adventure because it had the highs of teaching over Facebook and the lows of having a guy call me a "snake," tell me that "Mormonism doesn't belong anywhere near Christianity," and that I was "an enemy." Hahaha, I was like hmmm...okay...well, have a good day! Sometimes it's a test of my patience out here. Lol. It was fitting this week that I studied the story of Job in the Old Testament. It really puts everything into perspective--things here really aren't that bad, and as long as we focus on Jesus Christ we have nothing to worry about.

Let's talk about food now because I'm always talking about food. The members in this ward are incredible and have given us soooo much food. It's ridiculous how spoiled we are. We live in a basement apartment in the home of some members and they invited us up for some ice cream and cake and then we discussed some gospel principles! It. Was. So. Awesome! I love those people.
We had Zone Conference over Zoom this week and I'm excited for those to be in person again. It was still good, but I like seeing my friends.
Ældste Christensen has been teaching me both Danish and English grammar this last week. Wow. It's crazy how much I don't know hahaha. We are getting there.
Now for the big news! If you can remember all the way back to my time in Randers, we invited a lady named Marie to be baptized and she accepted. Well, the elders up there right now invited her to be baptized on the 19th of May and she accepted! I'm hoping I can go back and see it so so so bad! She is so golden and I'm so happy for her!
Also, I hit my 9-month mark on Thursday! Time flies!
Big shout out to all my friends being reassigned! Y'all are troopers and I'm so proud of you!
Love from Djævlens Ø!
-Ældste Modersitzki
PS - My P-day is on Tuesday next week because Monday is the 170-year anniversary of the first missionaries in Denmark, so I'll talk to y'all then!
