The end of the Madsen Modersitzki era

Howdyyyy everyone! Hope you are all doing well! This week was baller so we will dive on in!

This week was Ældste Madsen's last week before he went home, so we had a good time and worked hard so he could earn it. I dropped him off at the airport this morning and it was hardddddd to say bye to him and to the others in the group that I have grown so close to. Good thing it will only be 6 weeks until I see all of them again! We achieved our pastry goal and ended with probably close to 50 pastries eaten this last transfer... our goal was 36.... it definitely took a toll on my mission card, but it was worth every penny. It's going to be hard getting away from my pastry addiction.

We ate dinner at the Italian pizza restaurant that 2 Italian members own, and it was sooooo good and it was so much fun being with them! We always eat the wildest things on the menu so we got smoked salmon on a pizza and another pizza with octopus, mussels and shrimp on it. So baller I can't even describe it. Octopus got checked off my food bucket list hahah.

We had an in-person District Council Meeting in Roskilde and then drove to a member's house there and ate dinner as a district with them. It was so much fun. Our district is so different from one another but we get along well and it's always so fun.

Splits with the Roskilde elders was also quite an experience. We played some soccer with some members and non-members to start the day off, and then Ældste Hintze and I hit the streets to go give out a Book of Mormon. We had been going hard for 3.5 hours of straight contacting with no success and he needed to go to an appointment with his comp.... we decided to have that fourth floor last door kinda mindset and kept going until the exact second he needed to leave. We ended up giving one out to this cool young guy named Patrick. I learned a lot that day. Everything is in God's hands and timing. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE READY TO HEAR THE GOSPEL (or who will at least take a book). By the end before we gave out the book I had zero faith. Nobody was willing and I felt awful. I was talking to EVERYONE and I felt like Denmark was the last place that God could be found. Then my prayer was answered. God answers prayer people. Sometimes He even waits until the last second right when you are about to break. But it's good for me and you! Gotta love it!

Sorry that was long... I still love Denmark so much. I'm excited for my last six weeks with my guy Ældste Paulsen who is a Dane..... I will have zero English left in me, lol.

Love from Københavns Lufthavn,

Ældste Modersitzki
