This week was good. We spent a lot of time on splits.... 4 days to be exact, which was honestly way motivating and helpful for me. Gotta love the finding grind on splits. It poured rain on us in Herning to the point that I hung up my jacket when we got home, put it on an hour later and it was still SOAKED. I just used the other jacket I brought, lol, but it was sick to just be out in the rain, living that missionary life. I was vibing with it. Plus we got some more sheetcake from my boy Ældste Cousins. Life is good. AND we gave out a Book of Mormon to someone who was high key super positive too.
We hit my favorite city in Denmark, Aarhus, the next day. We did some more contacting and had a meeting with President Olsen. We stopped in Randers and got some of the best Durum Kebab in Denmark as well..... plus the best kajkage (frog cake?) you can get. Man I talk about food a lot, lol. Not to mention I also got a fresh haircut from my guy Demo while we were there. We are good friends. Hopefully we are going to start to teach him soon! Contacting in Aarhus is sick because of how pretty it is and how many young people there are. Gotta love it.
We finished off by driving to Roskilde... on the other side of the country. We grabbed a nice Brunsviger Kage (I don't know a translation for that honestly) on the way. I loved being outside in the warm weather... 65 degrees feels BALMY here. I am whipping a short sleeve shirt every day. We gave a district council training because we are ZLs on top of APs so that was fun. We talked about asking good questions, listening, and solving people's concerns. It went really well! We even had a kahoot about the district members to see who had listened to each other the best and that was fun!
I gave a talk in church on Sunday about keeping the Sabbath day holy. To my surprise the stake president pulled up... so after the sacrament I hopped up there and gave a decent talk I think. The pressure was on. All was well though. That was probs my last talk in Denmark which is weird....
Anyway, the weinerbrød (pastries) are STILL fire and I love it here. Especially in the summer!
Quick spiritual thought: 2 Nephi 22:2 states: Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation. TRUST IN GOD! He will do everything for our good if we will let Him be our strength and salvation! Be not afraid!
Love from 2 different Silkeborgvej apartments,
Ældste Modersitzki
