This week was more laid back. We had a couple of meetings, but no need to bore you all there. We are doing well with our pastry goal. Currently sitting at 24/36. I don't think it will be a challenge to achieve that, hahaha.
We had splits with two of my good friends out here, Ældste Fisher and Ældste Hintze. We started off the splits by doing a food challenge with pastries (only counted as 2 towards our goal though). We all tried to eat 6 big nougat filled croissants and 3 berliners (jelly-filled doughnut kinda things). I nearly died. Only got 5.5 croissants and 2.5 berliners. I could not eat more..... sadly.
We also hit up one of my fav burger places called Halifax. It's nearly been a year since I have had it last and I was loving digging in. That's some good stuff.
We even tried some fun contacting stuff playing basketball outside an apartment complex we had knocked not too long ago. A bunch of 9 to12-year- old girls came out and started playing with us. It was sick hahah. They started stealing our name tags and all that... I wasn't sure if we were going to get them back. We made one girl pinky promise that she would give my tag back before we left. She took it around and showed everyone, but eventually did keep her promise and gave it back!
I am finally fully legal in Denmark! (Long story lol.) I took my language and competence test down in Copenhagen on Tuesday. Definitely passed though, don't worry, hahah.
Kinda lame week I know. I will try to get some better stuff next week lol.
My spiritual thought for the week comes from Romans... which is loaded with good stuff. I highly recommend it. Romans 8 38-39:
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I love how simply stated it is that we cannot get away from the love of God, which is embodied in Christ. He is the ultimate sacrifice and example of pure, unwavering love. Nothing can separate us from his atoning grace and love.
Have a good week!
Love from Stevns Klint,
Ældste Modersitzki
